This Fencepost Finial was commissioned for my dear friend, in honor of her son. The vase features black birds taking flight as well as lyrics from the Beatles’ Black bird song are inscribed among the flower stems.

This unique hand built sculpture celebrates the amazing natural world of plantforms. The base is a wheel thrown pottery form with the plant structure built into it then fired and finished. The entire sculpture stands 18″ tall and 12″ wide.
